AHSPG has been designated a Trusted Source by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) which means we’re a reliable partner and have been evaluated as able to assess Identity information and assist clients in with Registration Under the Indian Act and SCIS applications. 

AHSPG is now assisting clients with:

Information relating to applying for registration under the Indian Act and Secured Ceritificate of Indian Status (SCIS) card applications;

Your SCIS application if you are a already registered individual; and 

Your Registration Under the Indian Act application.

What we offer:

AHSPG will support you with:

  • Filling out your application (SCIS and Registration Under the Indian Act);
  • Copying and verifying your documents, negating the need of a guarantor and sending in your original copies;
  • Taking your photograph on-site, following the guidelines for an approved photo; and
  • Submitting your application directly to ISC on your behalf.

 

What to bring

REGISTERING under the Indian Act:

 Proof of birth document

  • Must be issued by a Government authority, (provincial/territorial/federal government, vital statistics)
  • Must be issued in English or French (or accompanied by a professionally translated version)
  • Must contain the individual’s personal information (name, date of birth, place of birth, date of issuance, birth registration number, and certificate number

1 VALID non expired government issued identification your ID must contain the following criteria:

  • Be issued by the provincial, territorial, federal or state government authority; and 
  • Must include your name, date of birth, your photo and your signature

 

If renewing or getting your first time SCIS:

  • 1 VALID non expired government issued identification your ID must contain the following criteria:
  • Be issued by the provincial, territorial, federal or state government authority; and
  • Must include your name, date of birth, your photo and your signature
  • Expired Status card or know your status number.
