Building Community Through Culture & Support
At the Aboriginal Housing Society of Prince George, our Programs Department is at the HEART of what makes us more than just a housing provider. We believe that a home is more than a place to live—it’s a foundation for connection, healing, and growth.
Through culturally rooted initiatives, and community-driven support, our Programs empower individuals and families to thrive. We offer workshops, events, and services that foster a sense of belonging, strengthen cultural identity, and provide essential skills for personal and community well-being.
Some of our key programs include but are limited to:
Crafts Days – Bringing Elders together through creativity and sharing.
The Social – A welcoming space to connect, share, and build relationships.
Drum Around – Honoring traditions through drumming and song.
Wellbriety – A culturally rooted approach to healing and recovery.
By integrating programming with housing, we create a holistic approach that supports not only shelter but also the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of our community members. This is what sets us apart—ensuring that every person we serve has access to opportunities that uplift and unite.
Join us in building a stronger, healthier community—one home, one program, one connection at a time.
